TWO HEARTS FOUNDATION
We are excited to have received word that Will & Company is the first recipient of grant funding from Two Hearts Foundation for a theatre based residency in Moorpark focusing on teamwork, integrity and responsibility. We are proud to be collaborating on a program designed to make a positive difference for students. The residency will begin in September and will culminate with a community performance in December.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Portraits of Courage: African-Americans You Wish You Had Known kicked off its 2010 tour in Kansas last week. The show will continue with stops in Illinois and Wisconsin at the end of the month.

LA River Walk
The Friends of the LA River are sponsoring a Riverwalk as part of Will & Company's Big Read program. The Los Angeles River is home to Golden Carp - a featured symbol in Bless Me, Ultima. The Big Read is a national initiative to restore reading to the center of American culture. We are excited to explore our "urban" river - and hope that you'll join too! Invite your friends!

RICHARD III in January
Shakespeare's history will play at the Ricardo Montalban on January 27, 28, 29, 30 at 10:30am. There will be a public performance on the 31st at 7:00pm. Also it will play at the Palmdale Playhouse in April 2009. More details here.

Pinocchio at the Geffen
On Sat, Sept 27, our Education Division artists performed a portion of Pinocchio for The Geffen Playhouse Saturday Scene. A full performance of "A Christmas Carol" will be on Sat, Dec 13 at 11am, and Pinocchio on Sat, Jan 10 also at 11am. Tickets available online or by calling 310-208-5454.

A brand new show from Artistic Director, Colin Cox, will be premiering at the end of the year. A Dangerous Descent is the story of Adam, Eve and Lilith in the Garden of Eden engaged in a debate over Intelligent Design and Evolution.

Orientation Season
Our National Tour Division is in full swing for Orientation season. "American Voices" received a standing ovation at Berea College, with "Faces of America" enjoys the same success at numerous campuses. Our busy Labor Day weekend will be celebrated with three different crews performing in California, Massachusetts, Kentucky.

For the third consecutive year, Director of Education Sam Robinson has been selected as an Artist Fellow for the Music Center Institute for Educators. After a week long intensive, Sam will travel to participating schools to provide theatre workshops for students, professional development and coaching in drama for staff & teachers.
